Rules:

  • You MUST be 14 years of age or younger to enter the Do A Good Deed Contest.
  • Do ANYTHING – anything which helps your family, friends, neighbors, city, school, etc. and write a short essay describing what you did.
  • Simply do a good deed. Anything goes – a small action or being involved in a big project. Prizes are awarded based on the positive results affecting you and the people around you.

Essay Guidelines:

  1. Your essay should be typed and approximately one half page.
  2. Write about:
    • What you did.
    • Why you did it.
    • On what principles you based your actions, (e.g. President Theodore Roosevelt said, “…”, or my mom said, “…”)
    • What were the consequences, meaning what were the results of your activity?
    • Who benefited and how?
  3. Deeds can be a one-time occurrence, or recurring events.
  4. On a separate sheet of paper please include your full name, both your parents name, your address, age and phone number as well as the name and address of your school.
  5. Mail essay to:
